Staff Appraisals that Work
Aims:
The
course will equip candidates with the knowledge to operate Staff Appraisal
schemes and will introduce and develop the skills necessary for carrying
out appraisal and conducting the development interview.
Objectives:
By
the end of the course candidates will be able to:

the formation and use of appraisal systems in a business context

Identify
the key processes which contribute to accurate appraisal

Understand
and apply the key skills which contribute towards meaningful development
discussion

Identify
and report on the outcomes of development discussion
One
Day Course Programme
The
course establishes the links between clear Business direction and focus
and the development of individuals through regular appraisal and
development discussion.
Skill
training is given on the formulation of appraisal reports and appraisee
contribution in addition to that on skills for the development discussion.
The importance of follow-up is also covered in sessions on training plans,
personal development plans and regular reviews.
Courses
can also be designed on a bespoke basis to cover particular company
appraisal schemes.
